Following the resignation of one of the two Labour Councillors, elected only in May 2011, yet another Ibstock by-election will take place in February.

Labour are already throwing everything at it, with posted letters and door knocking even though nominations have not yet been accepted.

It will be interesting to see how the voters react this time since they usually switch back and forth in Ibstock as if it makes any difference.

The BNP is unlikely to field a candidate, since none of its former activists remain as members, but I sincerely hope someone with a Nationalist leaning will stand on behalf of the support that has been shown in the past.

The BNP has come very close in the past to winning in Ibstock, missing out by 15 votes on one occasion and 65 on another.

I wouldn't expect that sort of result this time but a vote of around 15-20% would demonstrate that there is still support for a right wing party.

Israel Adopts BNP’s Immigration Policy

In a move which has once again exposed the Jewish British Board of Deputies’s anti-BNP stance as rank hypocrisy, the state of Israel has now adopted BNP-like immigration policies to preserve its identity and security.

The Israeli cabinet has just approved a $160-million (£102 million) programme to halt the influx of Africans into Israel through the construction of a border fence with Israle.

In addition, the programme will see an expansion in holding centres for illegal immigrants.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned that the number of illegal immigrants “could reach 100,000 a year” and that such a population shift “posed an economic, social and security threat” to Israel.

“Entire populations are starting to move and if we don’t act to stop this we will be washed away. It’s no longer a choice but a necessity,” he said.

The Israeli government has ordered the trimming of the budgets of all other ministries to fund the building of the fence along the 193km border with Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula, which is the preferred invasion route taken by Africans into Israel.

Mr Netanyahu also announced that he would soon “fly to Africa to discuss the return of migrants to their countries of origin with government leaders in several states.”

“We have no obligation to receive illegal migrants,” he said, adding that there were currently more than 50,000 illegal migrants in Israel and their numbers increase by about 2000 every month.

The invaders have formed sizeable blocks in cities in southern Israel and in the poorest sections of Tel Aviv. Many residents and local officials have protested their presence, citing increased crime and sanitation problems.

The Israeli cabinet also decided to impose fines of up to $20,000 on businesses employing illegal immigrants. “If need be, we’ll shut down these enterprises so that the enterprise we call ‘the State of Israel’ won’t be shut down,” said Mr Netanyahu.

Earlier, Tel Aviv Mayor Ron Huldai called on Mr Netanyahu to “take immediate emergency action to guard the state borders from illegal immigration and infiltration, as is expected from all sovereign countries.”

Writing in an open letter, Mayor Huldai said that “the State of Israel cannot continue to avoid the growing surge of infiltrators when it is clear to all that they are immigrating for work [purposes] and are not in existential danger.”

In response, Mr Netanyahu said he agreed that he considered “this phenomena a threat to our economy, society, security and also to the demographic fabric that the State of Israel is still based upon.”

In other words, Israel has adopted commonsense policies which are designed to keep Israel Jewish. There is nothing wrong with this principle, and it is all that British nationalists have been calling for as well.

The new development once again exposes the rank hypocrisy of the British Board of Deputies. They unconditionally endorse Israel and its right to existence, yet are actively involved in denying that same right to the British people.

Did I Hear Right?

Listening to some trashy radio report this morning I just happened to pick up on an article that made me wonder if I'm going deaf.

Some knobhead has come up with the theory that the riots last summer were the result of X Factor.

Afraid to admit their ideological dream has failed, these lefty twits will try any excuse to justify the fact that the riots were started by blacks in Tottenham which spread to other parts of London, leading to racist attacks on whites, before going nationwide and becoming just an excuse for scum of all ethnicities to go on a looting spree.

London is rapidly becoming a city with no English and only yesterday I read a story by a former left wing journo who was fleeing but not telling the truth as to why.

That shouldn't be too difficult for a journalist, they lie all the time and often withold news about ethnic crime in a vain attempt to prop up the multiracial fantasy of harmony among peoples.

White Britain is being deceived by those who have a duty to report the truth but who would rather not!

Analysis of the BNP election results

Apart from the disappointment that local people chose to revert back to good old bad old Labour, the party infested with serial liars which employs professional liars to steer it on its deceitful course, the results were pretty much as expected.

The only real surprise was the size of the defeat for Councillor Ian Meller who has been a shining example to all councillors in that he has involved himself with all sorts of issues and given his time to campaigns that don't have political value.

Unlike some other councillors, his attendance at functions has been sincere and he always stayed to the end where the others would show up and get their faces seen before sneaking off to pursue their own interests.

What on earth the good folk of Whitwick were thinking to re-elect the dinosaurs Howe and Woodenhead we can only guess.

Maybe they thought two Labour dimwits would be more effective in opposing the Tory sleaze machine but if past performance was anything to go by, they are clearly deluded.

For the most part, Labour's infamous five failures floundered whenever there was an argument to be had and sat on their hands unable to show their support for anything BNP even when they were opposed to the Conmerchants.

They say that people get what they deserve in the end and Whitwick has got just that.

Both parties blamed each other for the Green Wedge fiasco and both are to blame whereas the BNP two did make an effort to assist with the campaign, while the scoundrels merely tried to give that impression.

Hopefully Ian will return in the future but after that shock result I would think it unlikey.

In Hugglescote, Graham stood as an Independent, refusing to promote the BNP while the charlotan Griffin remains at the helm.

It was a last minute decision to stand at all and that in response to pleas from local people who wanted a Nationalist candidate to vote for.

Amazingly again the Labour party regained one seat and the Tories the other despite the scandal of Matthew Blain's Tesco affair and the Labour candidate's previous track record in office.

Apparently Graham was attacked by two backstabbing reds whom he had helped with many issues over the previous years but whose treachery was typical of people of that ilk.

Claiming to have achieved all sorts of victories by themselves and slinging mud at Graham seemed to be their only agenda and in fact it was, as neither achieved a respectable vote and got what they deserved - nothing, coming eighth and ninth out of ten.

Graham was disappointed in his vote but not unhappy at losing his seat. Four years of hard work with very little time to spare hasn't gone unnoticed in Hugglescote despite the press and its biased reporting, in fact two opposition party members rang Graham before the election to say they hoped he would be re-elected and another two after to say how disappointed they were that he hadn't been.

Graham said of his defeat "There comes a time when you look at other people and think are they with you or are they playing at it and the answer I came up with was the latter. I've given my last four years to the BNP when some others have found excuses to step back. Not all I might add but when it comes to the crunch the excuses were always on hand. I can look at myself and say I did my best for the party and the people of Hugglescote, no one can take that away and I know Ian did the same for Whitwick. I shall miss it but it'll be nice to have my life back again."

Ivan Hammonds also stood as an Indpendent for the same reasons as Graham and again was disappointed in the vote after so many people had promised to support him but these things happen and at 75 Ivan is unlikely to stand again in fours years time but he has been a good candidate, narrowly missing out twice in by-elections and coming very close to beating the Tory Leader in the County's in 2009.

With a decent party leader and better support NWL BNP could have been a serious threat to the mainstream here but unfortunately the Nationalist nightmare of continued infighting and fragmenting has taken its toll and the BNP has disintegrated.

Something new will emerge at some point and the battle to free our nation from the corrupt anti British government will recommence but until then our little group are enjoying their free time again.

Neil Kinnock was leader of the Labour Party during the heyday of the SDP-Liberal Alliance. During that period if he had offered the olive branch of electoral reform to the third party he could well have become prime minister. He didn’t out of principle, because in those days he wanted a left-wing Labour government. So what has converted him to the complex cause of electoral reform? Guy News investigates:

£103,000 in director’s fees so far and 30,000 shares in the company poised to make millions in profits from the introduction of electronic voting… what was it exactly that first attracted Lord Kinnock to the cause of the alternative vote system?

Kinnock is a non-executive director of DRS Limited which works closely with ERS Limited, most recently on the multi-million pound deal that unsuccessfully introduced electronic voting systems in Scotland. The multi-million pound business which is ERS Limited funnels money into the not-for-profit ERS which has so far given over a £1 million to the “Yes to AV” campaign. Guido doesn’t think it too cynical to ask why a private profiteering corporation would throw a million quid at a political campaign unless there was something in it for their shareholders. Kinnock isn’t doing it for nothing either, so far he has only pocketed £103,000 in director’s fees from the electronic voting systems profiteers. The fact is, if we get AV, Kinnock’s shares in DRS Limited will rocket up in value

Des Coleman, who played Lenny Wallace in the soap East Enders in the 1990s, was accused of driving alongside a car on the M1 on May 2 last year before winding his window down and pointing a gun at the driver.

Coleman denied two counts of possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear or violence against Darren Hunter and his passenger Laura Coleman.

The 45-year-old from Swadlincote, Derbyshire, was bailed at Huntingdon crown court in Cambridgeshire to appear at Huntingdon Crown Court for a five day trial on May 9.

After leaving EastEnders in 1999 he had acting roles in The Bill, Casualty and as a reporter on The One Show.

He worked for BBC Radio Derby and in 2007 became £33,000 a year weatherman for BBC East Midlands Today

Government spending on translators has rocketed by 40 per cent in two years

TOUGHER language tests for new immigrants have again been called for after Government spending on translators rocketed by 40 per cent in two years – despite a drive to cut costs.

In 2007, Labour laid out £100million on translation services across Whitehall and the justice system before pledging to slash the bill. Last year, however, translating information for non-English speakers rose to an astonishing £140million.

Critics branded the costs a waste of money and demanded that immigrants moving to Britain be given stricter language tests. Gerard Batten, spokesman for UKIP said: “It cannot be right that spending on translation is going up like this. It is another example of the folly of our open border policy.

“We can’t control who comes here and then get lumbered with the cost of translating for them. People should be let into this country only if they speak the language.”

The criminal justice system, including police, courts and prisons, last year spent £34million on translators.

NHS Direct translates its documents into 200 languages including Esperanto, which is spoken by just 2,000 people in the UK.

A Muslim woman has appeared in court charged with swearing at an Asian policeman.

A DRUNKEN Muslim woman, who was spared jail for racially abusing a white couple, has now appeared in court charged with swearing at an Asian policeman.

Yasmin Ahmed hurled obscenities at Pc Abdus Salam when he went to arrest her friend for shoplifting, a court heard.

Somalian-born Ahmed taunted Pc Salam with racist jibes, wiggled her backside at him and spat in his face, Snaresbrook Crown Court was told.

She was taken to Kentish Town police station, north London, where she hitched up her niqab and urinated on the floor.

Ahmed, 21, of Camden, admitted racially aggravated harassment, assaulting a police officer and criminal damage in June.

She was freed on bail and will be sentenced after assessment for alcohol treatment.

Last year, Ahmed got a six-month suspended jail term for racially aggravated assault on a white couple.

A MUSLIM cleric sparked outrage yesterday – saying there is no such thing as rape within marriage.

Sheikh Maulana Abu Sayeed, who runs the largest network of sharia courts in Britain, claimed husbands who rape their wives should not be prosecuted because “sex is part of marriage”.

When asked if he believed non-consensual marital sex could be rape he said defiantly: “No.

“Clearly there cannot be any rape within the marriage. Maybe aggression, maybe indecent activity.”

He said the “aggression” of reporting the man to police was greater than the “minor aggression” of forcing a woman to have sexual intercourse against her will.

He claimed many married women who alleged rape were lying.

“In most of the cases, they have been advised by solicitors that one of the four reasons for which a wife can get a divorce is rape.

“Why it is happening in this society is because they have got this idea of so-called equality, equal rights.”

Sheikh Sayeed said the concept of rape within marriage was “not Islamic”.

He said: “It is not an assault, it is not some kind of jumping on somebody’s individual right.

“When they got married, the understanding was that sexual intercourse was part of the marriage, so there cannot be anything against sex in marriage.

“Of course, if it happened without her desire, that is no good, that is not desirable.”

He said husbands can be dealt with under sharia law, but there is no need for the police to be called in.

Asked how husbands accused of rape should be dealt with, he said: “He may be disciplined, and he may be made to ask forgiveness. That should be enough.”

As campaigners, police and women’s groups reacted angrily to his remarks yesterday Sheikh Sayeed stood by his claims adding: “In Islamic sharia, rape is adultery by force.

“So long as the woman is his wife, it cannot be termed as rape. It is reprehensible, but we do not call it rape.”

Sheikh Sayeed moved here from Bangladesh in 1977.

He is now president of the Islamic Sharia Council which operates 16 courts in Britain, including in Birmingham, Bradford and London.

Dave Whatton, Chief Constable of Cheshire and spokesman on rape for the Association of Chief Police Officers, said the sheikh’s opinion “fundamentally undermines everything we are trying to do”.

He said: “We know that the majority of rapes do not take place through strangers attacking women late at night but between acquaintances and within marriages and partnerships.

“Sharia law should not replace the laws of the UK.”

Muslim tribunals exploit a legal loophole which allows sharia courts to be classified as arbitration courts, with their rulings binding in law.

Douglas Murray of the Centre for Social Cohesion, said: “Under sharia women are second-class citizens at best; chattel at worst. Sharia courts are incompatible with British democracy. There’s no such thing as moderate sharia. It’s a backward, bigoted, discriminatory body.”

BNP member attacked with hammer

Violence broke out in Leigh where a BNP event was being held
A British National Party (BNP) member was attacked with a hammer when protesters arrived at a campaign event in Greater Manchester.

Violence broke out as 30 people surrounded a BNP vehicle outside the Ellesmere Pub in St Helens Road in Leigh on Friday evening, said police.

Tony Ward, 48, was hit with a hammer and later treated in hospital.

A 25-year-old man arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm has since been given police bail.

Officers arrived at the pub to discover the BNP's trailer had been overturned, said a police spokesman.

A traffic diversion was put in place on St Helen's Road, while the trailer was removed and the road was closed. It has since reopened.

One witness told BBC News: "They had hammers and they smacked the vehicle to pieces, smashed all the windows and tore off the bumper, completely decimated it.

"I was shocked at what I saw."

A BNP fundraising event had been due to take place at Pure nightclub in Leigh, but it was cancelled at the last minute.

Simon Darby, the party's deputy leader said: "This was a violent attack by a group of thugs in which one of our members was badly injured.

"But we will not be put off."

The BNP's Nick Griffin has been in the area to host the event, said Mr Darby.

Apparently on Monday 16 August the Leicester Mercury ran a short article on our County Councillor's resignation of the party whip and intention to stand as an Independent. As I don't subscribe to second rate papers I wouldn't know but I do know that he wasn't asked to confirm or deny the rumour.

Today is Thurday 19 August and our local rag has run a similar article. Again I haven't read it, preferring to save my 39p for a worthy cause but from what I've been told, it mentions a quote that sounds like a piece of plagerism straight from the Mockery.

Neither paper had spoken to Graham. Their chosen source for this shocking information, internet blogs!

Had they bothered. they would have been dismayed to find out that he had not resigned from anything.

The internet is a very usefool tul as you might say, but never trust the content, especially blogs of unknown origin.

Remembrance Day in Coalville

On a cold Sunday morning the people of Coalville turned out once again to remember the fallen who gave their lives for our country and freedom.

Among the crowd of a couple of thousand people was a large group of BNP members who laid a wreath at the foot of the memorial.

As the crowd sang God Save The Queen I thought about the words and wondered how many singing away actually considered the line "May she defend our laws".

Ironic really in a week when the the Lisbon Treaty has been in the news and the ancient rights of self determination and sovereignty have been confined to the history books by an act of vile treachery.

Forgive them for they know not what they do.

Woodstock in Whitwick, another great fundraising effort by locals.

Saturday 10th October, saw the presentation evening for the 2009 Woodstock in Whitwick charity fundraiser, at the Whitwick Sports and Social Club.

The actual event was held at the Constitutional Club back in June 2009 with people and bands giving up their time to raise a staggering £8000.00 for local charities.

The event was started back in 2003 by Jimmy Chambers and Michael Richmond and has now raised a massive £28,000.00 in total.

Once again Councillor Ian Meller was asked to present one of the cheques, having been asked to open the event in 2007 and present one of the cheques back then.

Ian said. “It is always a great honour to be asked to help Woodstock in Whitwick as there are many more people who have put a lot of hard work into making this event happen, people a lot worthier than me, and I’d like to say a big Thank You to Maria Brown and the committee, keep up the good work.”

Occupied Britain: “Manningham Belongs to Muslims. We Don’t Want Whites.”

A Muslim who randomly slashed a white man in Manningham, telling him that the town belonged to Muslims and that whites were to be kicked out, was not charged with any racially aggravated assault but merely with wounding with intent.

Although Amir Rehman, 18, shouted racial abuse at 51-year-old Ronald O’Connor, telling him that “Manningham belongs to Muslims. We don’t want whites. We rule Bradford. We are going to get you out,” he was not charged under sections 28-32 and 82 of the Crime and Disorder Act which specifically deals with racist violence and harassment.

There can be no doubt that had the perpetrator been a white British person, he or she would have been charged under the racially aggravated legislation. It is therefore increasingly clear that the anti-racist violence law is only used against whites.

As it is, the court case only made local news in the Bradford and Argus Telegraph, with a minor follow-up story in the national Telegraph, but so far the vicious anti-white attack has been deliberately ignored by the rest of the controlled media.

Mr O’Connor tried to flee the racist attacker by running into a shop, but Rehman ran up and stabbed him twice in the upper arm with a four- to five-inch bladed knife.

The Leeds court heard that Rehman, of Lumb Lane, Manningham, was described as if in a frenzy, “like a crazy man, out of control,” as he tried to slash Mr O’Connor’s face. The palms of Mr O’Connor’s hands were slashed as he tried to defend himself.

Prosecutor Richard Gioserano said: “Rehman was swinging at him over and over again with the knife. Mr O’Connor was in great pain and in fear, literally, of his life.”

Mr O’Connor had surgery at Bradford Royal Infirmary for a deep laceration to his palm. He also suffered lacerations to his fingers and two incisions to his upper arm with apparent nerve damage.

Within hours of appearing at court for a preliminary hearing of the case in March, Rehman went to Pudsey with two other Muslims, Amar Farooq and Tanveer Hussain, where they committed a series of robberies on children on their way home from school.

The judge, Recorder David Bradshaw, told Rehman he had committed an unprovoked attack on an innocent man causing “horrendous” injuries.

He said: “I am satisfied it was accompanied by racial abuse and seemed to have a racial motive.”

* It has also been reported that Walter Chamberlain, the D-Day veteran attacked by Muslims in Oldham in 2001, has passed away from old age. Mr Chamberlain, who was 76 years old at the time of the famous incident, was walking through the Westwood district of Oldham when three Muslims demanded to know his address. He refused to tell them and was pushed to the ground and left bleeding with broken cheekbones. According to local reports, one of the attackers said: “This is our area. Get out.”

Mr Chamberlain said one of his assailants told him that he was “not allowed in this part of town because he was white.”

Mr Chamberlain took part in the D-Day landings with the Royal Navy. He was later a bus conductor in Oldham for 34 years. The attack was one of four racially motivated incidents in Oldham on that weekend, and played an important role in generating support for the British National Party in that town in the subsequent local elections.

Last Group Meeting Before June

North West Leics BNP held their last meeting on Tuesday 7 April prior to the June County and Euro elections.

Although it was Easter and many members and friends were away, there was still a respectable turnout including a few new faces.

The guest speaker Lewis Allsebrook came down from Amber Valley to give us a very interesting talk about the developments in Derbyshire where a rapid growth has taken place in the last eighteen months, especially around the Labour stronghold of Shirebrook.

This looks like being a very strong area for the BNP in the near future following a recent meeting where the biggest ever turnout for a local branch took place with over three hundred attending.

Lewis really has worked hard to establish a strong base in his area and the prospects of further success in the future looks promising.

Councillor Ian Meller opened the meeting with a brief update of local activites and informed everyone about the council work he has carried out on behalf of residents.

Wayne Mc'Dermott then ran through a brief summary on the up and coming elections and asked for help with what is a massive effort for a tiny group to undertake.

There was no shortage of volunteers and even the first timers were coming forward to offer their services believing this to be a tipping point in the balance of power that will thrust us onto the main stage where we belong.

Money is always a problem to a party like ours without union support or wealthy backers but we have good people willing to make the effort to turn this festering society around.

After the meeting had closed a few stayed around for a chat in the local and it was noted that one new face had defected from the big boys after being disillusioned by the money grabbing elite that are supposed to running Britain. Ruining seems more appropriate but the powers that be don't listen to the majority and there lies the raison d'etre.

If all was well with our society the BNP wouldn't exist but the lefties can't see that.

June 4th is coming and we are ready.

Those arrogant, greedy and selfish clowns better have some comfortable shoes ready because battle commences shortly and feet are going to ache.

Violence of the Left exposed

The most disturbing thing about the systematic campaign of intimidation and violence against lawful and peaceful BNP election campaigners, which led to the brutal attack on Tony Ward in Leigh yesterday, is that it is openly supported and encouraged by senior Labour and Tory MPs.

The violence is being organised by the Labour Party front group UAF (Unite Against Fascism). At least 57 MPs are named on the UAF’s website as sponsors, and supporters of its thuggery.

BNP Leader Nick Griffin has today challenged these MPs to condemn unequivocally last night’s attack and all other instances of violence and intimidation carried out by UAF thugs. “Many Establishment politicians have recently been demanding that Sinn Fein MPs should condemn the murderous violence perpetrated by dissident republicans”, said Mr Griffin. “But the truth is that Sinn Fein have less control and influence over groups such as the Real IRA than the Labour party in particular has over its close allies and ideological bedfellows in the UAF.

The liberal media often express concern about attacks by government-sponsored thugs in places like Zimbabwe, but there’s really no difference between that and what is happening here. Any establishment politicians who can look at the photograph of Tony Ward’s bloodied face and continue to sponsor the criminal gang responsible for the attack is quite simply inciting further violence.

The third NW Leics by-election in just over a year was another tight affair with Labour always slight favourites to win, it being their last stronghold in the district.

As usual we had the dirty tricks and smear tactics, this time by the Blue Rinse Brigade aka the Tories ably supported by the self sacrificing Lib Dems who made no attempt to win whatsoever, clearly believing the Tories will return the favour in the June county council elections.

It makes no difference to our dedicated team of Leicestershire nationalists who we face and how they conspire to beat us, we will keep fighting until we rid this country of the traitors who have no loyalty to our folk, our culture or our heritage.

The most sickening sight at the end of the count was that of the Labour candidate waving his tiny Union flag and saying he wants it back.

He obviously isn't aware that his government has been undermining the British identity for years by importing millions of aliens while at the same time enforcing the demise of all things British.

They've tried to abolish our history in schools, our religion from being taught, our right to free speech through equality and diversity laws and under the pretence of human rights protection and have often seen fit to persecute people who fly our flag.

At the same time they have tried to brainwash our children with Islam, Buddhism, Sikhism and other beliefs as could be seen in the schoolroom where the count was held. The walls were bedecked in such enriching beliefs but no sign at all at anything to do with Christianity.

The only good thing to come out of the result apart from our respectable percentage was the defeat of the self serving Tories whose sheer arrogance puts any normal person off.

At least the opposition hasn't lost a voice although for what use they are they might as well send a poodle into the council chamber.

We thank all those who helped yet again with the canvassing and leafletting campaign and of course Roy for putting himself forward for what turned out to be an excellent campaign.

We made many new friends over the last four weeks and come June, we will be stronger and more determined than ever.

Our spirit is worth tens times their money, our will to win isn't a weekend hobby and our flag isn't for sale.

Matthew Lewis, Chairman of Conservative Future and a graduate of Keele University, thought it would be a good idea to dress up as missing 5 year-old Madeleine McCann for a New Year's party. He even boasted about it on Facebook and, in spite of commenters' disgust, thought it was 'okay'. Lewis had aspirations to become an MP, but his career has been scotched as he was expelled from the Tory Party for his dreadful behaviour, though he claims to have resigned before he was pushed.

Though he has now expressed remorse for his actions, it is clear that persons of such immaturity and lack of compassion will be rightly condemned. He isn't the first young Conservative to display a crass, yobbish tendency, apparently their youth arm is well known for it, but this can be no excuse for his actions.

Mr. and Mrs. McCann, of Rothley, Leicestershire, have pulled out all the stops to try and find their lost daughter. We can only imagine their acute distress on hearing of Lewis's actions; the members of Leicestershire BNP send our sincere sympathies to them and their families for the hurt this incident must have caused them.

Thringstone by-election candidate

Nomination papers are in and we can announce ‘Roy Harban’ as the BNP candidate for Thringstone ward on February 19th

Roy is married with two grown up children and has lived in the Coalville area for over 40 years. Roy is well known locally, originally owning and running a joinery workshop and kitchen fitting outlet for many years.

Roy ran a successful Judo club, training many youngsters and adults to a high standard. As well as coaching Roy travelled the world as an international referee and was appointed on to the Board of Directors of the British Judo Association.

Roy is often seen out and about litter picking and helping to keep the local area tidy.

Roy is someone who acts rather than sits back doing nothing.

If elected Roy will work hard for everyone in Thringstone being another voice on the council, standing up and speaking on your behalf.

Progress Continues

Looking back on the local council by-election results for the East Midlands for 2008 shows remarkable progress for the British National Party.

Our average by election vote in 2008 was 20.25% but how did the other parties perform last year in by elections

I’ve used the vote share figures of the 27 East Midlands 2008 by-elections - but excluded the Harborough result as it was won unopposed.

· CON - 38.0% (25 contests excl Harborough result)

· LAB - 27.30% (20 contests)

· BNP - 20.25% (12 contests)

· LD - 20.19% (22 contests)

· UKIP - 7.0% (7 contests) (Their vote share was boosted by the Middle Rasen by election 23.8% result in a 2 party election with the Tories)

· GRN - 4.1% (3 contests)

So our average by-election vote share in 2008 in the East Mids is above the Liberal Democrats and only 7% behind Labour. This goes to show WE CAN IF ALL GOES WELL WIN AN MEP SEAT.

It is also worth comparing these results to our 2004 euro vote share in the East Midlands to show how far we have progressed:

· CON - 26.4% (+11.6)

· UKIP - 26.1% (-19.1)

· LAB - 21.0% (+6.3)

· LD - 12.9% (-7.29)

· BNP - 6.5% (+13.75)

· GRN - 5.4% (-1.3)

2009 starts to look like it could be our time and all the hard work put in so far could really start to pay off. Although we have 5 months of hard work ahead so even though its cold and not nice at present we must continue working hard to get our message of hope across.

Next on the agenda is another local election in NW Leicestershire in Thringstone an area we have not contested before at district level but an area like Ibstock with strong BNP support. We look forward to another battle with Lib Lab Con and another strong BNP showing. At the same time as the Thringstone campaign, we will be out and about in several areas of NW Leicestershire as our county plans take a step forward.

How Long Will the British Voters Put Up with the EU Swindle?

The European Union is without doubt one of the greatest swindles ever perpetrated on Britain, allowing unscrupulous individuals from across the continent to rob the British taxpayer.

The British National Party makes it quite clear that it is in no way anti-Polish or anti-Eastern European (as party chairman Nick Griffin’s recent visit to Eastern Europe proved).

However, we would expect Poland or any other nation to object to British nationals living in their countries and sponging off their taxpayers. In fact, we would support Polish objections to such a practice.

So it is not anti-Polish to object to Polish nationals doing precisely that in Britain — courtesy of the EU swindle which allows the practice.

It now transpires that nearly half of Britain’s 500,000 Polish workers are expected to leave in the next few months as firms are hit by the credit crunch — but they are leaving their families here or, even worse, sending them here, to claim benefits.

A family of four immigrants pockets an average of £715 a week in Britain. This includes £500 housing benefit, £95 jobseeker’s allowance, £36 child benefit, £84 in grants including council tax credits, carer’s allowance, maternity, paternity, and learning grants.

In Poland, a similar family would get just £178. The falling value of the pound making it less economic to send money back to Poland, many immigrants are flying in more relatives to claim cash.

They are keen to take advantage of Government handouts which are four times higher than in other EU states. It has been estimated that this scheme is likely to cost the British taxpayer at least £200 million a year.

Because of EU regulations, people from EU countries who have lived in the UK for a year are entitled to claim the same benefits as those who were born here.

Urszula Jukes, owner of Polish recruitment agency Access Europe, said: “For many the answer is to bring families here where they can support them with the higher UK wages and Government support.”

Jan Mokrzycki of the Federation of Poles in Great Britain added: “We think lots of single people who come here will leave but the families will stay for as long as possible.”

Hungarian coffee shop owner Tamas Fekte, 29, who lives in Cambridge, said: “I would never move home. The benefits here are so much better.”

Tom Wlodarski, of the East of England Polish Community Organisation, said: “Families are staying on as they feel it is better to ride out the recession here in England.”

Mark Wallace, of the TaxPayers’ Alliance, said: “The British benefits system is meant to be a safety net for British nationals who have fallen on hard times.

“Instead, due to Government laxity and EU rules, it has become a honey pot tempting people to take advantage of the taxpayers’ generosity.”

Latest Home Office figures reveal 895,000 Eastern Europeans have been allowed to work in the UK since the EU expanded to include former Eastern Bloc nations — Estonia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Slovakia and Slovenia.

Of those officially registered, 199,677 are now in receipt of state handouts, including child benefit, jobseeker’s allowance and housing support.

However, the figures, which only cover up to September last year, do not take into account the economic decline of the last few months and the massive job losses it will bring. In August 2007 there were 112,000 Eastern Europeans claiming UK benefits, costing taxpayers £125 million a year.

Ibstock, Heather & Battram by-election

In what was a very hard fought contest, our candidate Mr Ivan Hammonds finished a very creditable, even if disappointing second, just fifteen votes behind the Conservative.

Polling was slightly down on last January at around 37% but the weather at tea time when the majority of workers turn out was atrocious so it was no surprise.

Newly elected Virge Richichi turned out to be a very likeable man and congratulations go to him. His own village of Heather probably just carried him over the finishing line ahead but in most ballot boxes there was very little to choose between the three main contenders.

Expect the headlines to read "BNP rejected by electorate" and the lefty brigade to be overjoyed and self congratulatory but the truth is, the BNP polled over 30%, slightly up on January and took on a combined force of Lib/Con parties and left-wing loonies from Labour, all campaigning on a single issue - Stop The BNP.

Result - Con 660, BNP 645, Lab 614, Other 174

For now we reflect on yet another narrow defeat but we will look carefully at where we failed and ensure we are better and stronger next time.

Once again our activists rallied to the flag and made us all proud to be a part of this party and a special thanks go out to all those who came from far and wide to help in the campaign.

On Tuesday 11 November,our two councillors on NW Leics District Council were expected to vote on the latest Comprehensive Equalities and Diversity Policy.

The Leader of the Council said he hoped we would all support this policy and we were informed that a recorded vote had been requested.

Suspecting this was some form of entrapment by the marxism inspired gang of three gave us some concern but nevertheless we decided that not to oppose this discriminatory document, would be to ignore the concerns of our supporters and display a level of cowardice normally reserved for the massed ranks of the whip-ma-whop-mas around the room.

Cllr Ian Meller spoke first and said the following

"Diversity does not bring equality. Diversity brings division in a community, which in turn brings mistrust and resentment.

Examples of this are in the northern towns of Burnley and Oldham.

We all know racism is wrong but common sense has lost its way here.

There are a growing number of the white working class people who already feel like second class citizens in their own country and will perceive this document will only help other communities.

It does nothing for immigrants who want to come here and embrace the British way of life. They don't want to be treated differently but in fact like we do, believe that when in Rome do as the Romans do.

Why is there a need for a recorded vote, is it to intimidate those who would speak out against it and label them as a racists?"

Graham Partner then said

"I believe that policies like this are designed to encourage positive discrimination against what is perceived as normal in this country.

Everyone has a right to be treated fairly and no more than that. The services are here for everyone and nothing is barring anyone from using them.

The first four items in the Policy are set in stone. Age, Disability, Gender and Race are not life choices. They are a matter of chance. Our job as a council is to ensure that none of those prevents anyone from being able to access our services.

The last two, Belief and Sexual Orientation are purely a matter of choice in the same way as Paganism or Polygamy.

There is no inclusion in the policy for Buddhists or Hindus but I notice the Muslims and Jews are mentioned. Strange that these two faiths which hate each other vehemently and have done so for centuries are prominent in the policy but no mention of any other. .

Islam is portrayed as the religion of peace yet to renounce that faith carries a death sentence and in many parts of the world where it is prominent, Christians are persecuted and forced to pay a tax for practicing their faith.

I see no reason to encourage that belief in our tolerant society, which has a long history of accepting refugees fleeing persecution from across the world.

Since most faiths are based on legend and superstition I do not accept any as having special needs. Neither do I believe any sexual group has special needs anymore than voluntary abstainers.

Personal information should not be considered or even discussed. I don’t want to know what people do outside of work but at work they are paid to work not worship or practise their questionable habits.

There is also a mention of low-income being an obstacle to social inclusion, well it may be but that is the real world where I live.

“Promote opportunities to ensure that the council workforce is diverse”.

Again this appears to me like preferential treatment as opposed to equality. The sort of claptrap you’d expect from party leaders when chasing the immigrant vote. Where’s the equality in that?

Everyone has a right to follow their chosen belief, religion or faith. That’s fine but it should not interfere with their duties as an employee unless we are going to allow witches the day off at Halloween and Pagans the Solstice as a bank holiday.

As a vegetarian myself, I receive no special treatment and expect none. I find cruelty to animals offensive and Halal slaughter has no place in my society. This country is supposed to have high standards but is using the name of religion and belief as an excuse to allow ritual slaughter of livestock.

Rules exist and I abide by them, so should those who come here to be a part of this society. Before long there’ll be no bacon in the canteen and no food at all during Ramadan.

Discrimination is wrong and bullying exists in all walks of life not just the six groups on this list. Legislation will not change anything and for that reason I can’t support this policy."

Response from Labour Councillors, a rough guide as I didn't record them.

1: "I've just recently got married to a nurse and we've been to Thailand for our honeymoon. It was great to see all the different diverse groups living out there and the NHS couldn't function without immigrant labour. I've worked in care homes and they rely on cheap labour from abroad because our people won't work for such low wages." (I went to Corfu on my honeymoon and had a lovely time amongst the Greeks and other races who were there enjoying the sunshine." Is there any connection there with my speech?)

2: "I can't believe we're having this discussion on Remembrance Day. My grandfather fought in the war to preserve this country's diversity." (Is that a fact?)

Conservative councillor response. "I've got a friend who was kicked out of Uganda and arrived here with nothing. He worked hard, kept out of trouble, integrated into our society and has done very well"..... (point being?)

Ian then replied

"Back in January a Labour councillor asked why so many had voted for the BNP in a local by-election. This is why. Carry on with this nonsense and we look forward to seeing more BNP councillors in this chamber.
I'd like to ask the Conservatives what it is they are trying to conserve because it isn't the British way of life."

At the last full council meeting the BNP councillors voted against giving people of any background, disability or faith the protection from any form of discrimination. Both BNP Cllrs stood up spouting what many members found to be offensive remarks.
Cllr Michael Wyatt said, “This is typical behaviour from the BNP. Every single person deserves to be protected from any form of discrimination. What the BNP have shown is their utter contempt for people who have a disability or faith. What the diversity and equality policy clearly does is give employees of the council protection, and the right for action to be taken against those who persecute any individual. I cannot believe anyone would be against this type of policy. The BNP have once again shown their true colours.”

Liberal Democrat, Labour, Conservative and the Independent member of the council all voted for the policy.

BNP Councillors Show their Prejudice 12 November 2008

At last nights full Council meeting of North West Leicestershire District Council only the two extremist BNP Councillors refused to support the councils new Comprehensive Equality and Diversity Policy which was supported and passed by all the Conservative, Labour, Liberal and Independent Councillors.

The councils new policy sets out to `eliminate discrimination, exclusion and promote equality of opportunity through its role as a community leader, service provider, employer and purchaser of goods and services` The council will do this `by promoting equality, valuing diversity and combating unfair treatment of people based on their race, disability, gender, age, religion/belief or sexual orientation` the council will aim ` to improve the quality of life for all who live , work, learn and enjoy leisure time within the district.`

The policy also contributes to the council`s commitment to developing safer and stronger communities. As well as complying with its legal duties.

By vocally criticising the policy the BNP Councillors are seen for the extremists they always were. The racist prejudice shown by these people must be fought at every opportunity.

What reasonable person would not support ` equality of opportunity for all `?

By-election latest

Yesterday (Thursday 14 Nov) saw the BNP contest two by-elections in the East Midlands with differing success.

In Markfield our candidate came fourth with 14.5 percent of the vote, the Tories winning easily as expected and Labour second. The Lib Dems with their 16 leaflet campaign just beating us despite our no canvass campaign, Well done Colin and the team.

In Boston Fenside we went out to win and win we did.

Well Done all. Back in 1620 Boston was the starting point of the long journey to freedom for the English Seperatists fleeing persecution in their own land. That journey took them sixty six days and cost many their lives.

The courage of those early settlers puts to shame those in this country who haven't the conviction of their belief to speak out, choosing instead to hide inside their comfortable little world of G&T Toryland.

Council House Transfer Defeated

With seventy percent of the consultations already checked, the attempt to disown the district's Council Houses looks defeated.

Ninety percent of those who responded have chosen to stay with the Council, a slap in the face for those traitors who voted to give away our stock to a private landlord.

On announcing the news, the Tory leader said he was pleased with the result and nods of approval from all around the Council chamber followed.

Such short memories these politicans have. Only one year ago the chamber voted on whether or not to go for the Transfer Option and unanimously said yes.

Just for the record, let me remind you that every single Tory and Labour member voted for Transfer.

The most comical thing about the debate was the Lib Dems slinking off to sit outside rather than take part and offer any counter argument.

New to the job but nevertheless committed to saving the Council Houses, the BNP two were the only members to vote against the motion and vowed to stop the transfer.

During discussions in private I warned the Tory deputy leader that they would lose and should stop wasting money immediately but his reply was that they'd gone this far, they might as well go to the finish. Tax payer's money of course, not his own.

Nearly one million pounds later and much hard work by us to combat the propaganda machine which churned out glossy brochures and DVDs to all tenants plus lots of publicity and free advertising in the Council's literature and we are proud to say, they failed.

Now, they all wanted to keep the homes with the Council really and are pleased with their own failure!

They'll be in the press claiming credit for a job badly done but we all know who won the war of words. The BNP stood alone against Transfer and carried the day.

Remembrance Service

On a bitterly cold morning 28 members and several friends joined in the parade from the church to the memorial square.

The parade seems to get bigger every year and is fitting testimony to the debt owed to the million men and women who gave their lives fighting for this country.

Northwest Leicestershire Labour Party – A sinking ship?

The news that the Labour Party have only 1 local candidate in the short list of 7 for the nomination of parliamentary candidate for the next General Election has come as a shock to us here in the BNP. We knew things were bad for the Labour party locally but did not realise just how bad it had become. The big surprise was the rejection of Paul Hyde one time parish, district and county councillor (Now only County Councillor for the next few months anyway), whilst we heard he was not the most popular of people within the local branch he has always been side by side with David Taylor and seemed the best ‘Local’ choice to take up the challenge of holding on to the NW Leicestershire seat.

The final line up of seven is

Ross Willmott (Leicester City Council Leader) and former resident of Ibstock but now living in the multi cultural dream city.

We would like to see the chance handed to Matthew O Callaghan after his rant after the recent Melton by election I would like nothing better than to be present when he loses after seeing many Labour votes go to the BNP.

We will find out in early November who will be chosen but unless it’s a local candidate i.e. Lindsey Lester then this will be a huge advantage handed over to the Tories and ourselves. Local people want a local candidate who knows and lives in the area someone who will stand up for the people. We may not see eye to eye with David Taylor but he has voted for the people of the area and against his party simply because he lives here and understands the people here I doubt the same can be said for the candidates such as Selmen Ansari and the other southerners short listed.

What next for Paul Hyde? Will he be given the chance to defend his seat in Ibstock? We will have to wait and see but with our candidate selected and the plan already worked out we look forward to the county council elections as we build and get ready for the big one when Brown rediscovers his bottle.

Former chairman of Ashfield District Council and a former Labour Councillor, Edward Holmes, says: “Serving the community was the proudest time of my political career.
“Unfortunately the Labour party I represented no longer cares for the local people.

The Labour party of today is not the party that represents Britain’s working class.”
Former Chairman of Ashfield Conservative Association Lionel Buck says: “Having served in the Army I joined the Conservative Party in 1986 and was delighted to be elected Chairman of the Ashfield Association.

“However the Tories in recent years don’t have the courage of their natural convictions.
“Especially under Cameron, they tout new policies around like confetti, dumping traditional Tory values in their efforts to be like NuLabour.”

Labour hitting people when they’re down, district heating bills to rise by 76%.

With the effects of the credit crunch hitting us all, the Labour Party in Leicester has decided to turn the screw further on residents of New Parks. Council Tenants in the Aikman Avenue flats in New Parks, where the BNP candidate Melanie Hemmings narrowly missed out on winning a seat in 2007 are up in arms.

We have been contacted by several tenants to tell us of their anger after receiving a letter from the Labour run city council increasing there district heating bill from £12.33 per week to a staggering £21.72 per week YES an increase of 76%. An extra £488.28 per year for something you cant even reduce as district heating is a set cost no matter how much you use it.

Many tenants in New Parks are unemployed and amongst the most deprived in Leicester. This will come as a further body blow to them all. The payment is simply for the heating and hot water, the residents also have to pay water rates on top.

The changes will hit council tenants on the 10th November

Tories Want to Destroy Working People by Killing Minimum Wage

In the midst of one of the greatest financial crises to strike the world since the Great Depression, the Tories have announced that David Cameron would allow the minimum wage to “melt away” if he became PM — meaning that millions of first-time job entrants and young people would be exposed to the sort of rampant exploitation which has caused the current crisis.

Senior Tories made the admission in a newspaper report, and were quoted as saying “The minimum wage won’t be scrapped but it will be allowed to wither on the vine.”

Bizarrely, Cameron’s logic is that the minimum wage rate increase “cannot be allowed to continue to rise annually in line with the rate of inflation” — in other words, that young people in particular who are the beneficiaries of the minimum wage, will not be compensated for any hyper inflation. Such market vagaries are highly possible, given the Tories’ multi-millionaire city bankrollers, who have already created the credit crunch disaster now engulfing much of the world.

The Tories originally opposed the introduction of the minimum wage, using the flawed “logic” that it would lead to “massive job losses”. Of course, nothing of the sort happened, and the only job losses which have been incurred were caused by the expansion of the EU and mass immigration - policies which the Tories wholeheartedly endorsed.

* At least Cameron knows how to protect his own: He has announced that he will not sack his embattled party chairman Caroline Spelman. The Tory leader will delay a decision on her fate until a sleaze probe is over — Spelman is facing allegations she used taxpayer-funded parliamentary allowances to pay for her nanny.

Incinerator Protest Livens Proceedings

Around thirty eight people gathered oustside County Hall today as part of the anti-incinerator protest by residents of Ellistown, Battleflat and Stanton etc.

The group were joined by local Labour wannabe MP Paul Hyde and outgoing Castro worshipper Taylor who saw fit to comment that the BNP were coming along, as though we had gatecrashed his little party.

The truth is the BNP with help from some Parish councillors and friends has put out 6,000 leaflets in four days to villagers within a two mile radius of the proposed site and paid for them out of our own pockets.

We have been active in trying to set up the independent action group to prevent cross party rivalry preventing it functioning well.

The Labour Party promised to deliver leaflets and said to "leave it to them" but as expected, they did nothing at all and had the nerve to do press interviews as though it was their campaign.

Those who did the real work should congratulate themselves for their effort which did not go unnoticed but neither did it receive as much support as it deserved. There should have been hundreds at County hall but as usual most folk were busy doing more important things. Well done everyone who turned up:-

INCINERATOR PLANNED FOR BARDON

Recycle, use public transport, turn your heating down a degree, insulate your loft, wear extra clothing, drive more efficient cars .... the rhetoric from Government is endless.

An elderly lady was prosecuted for putting recyclable bottles in her domestic refuse and a man fined £80 for having his bin out too long.

The bullying thugs that run our country through the 900 quangos that now exist in Britain seem able to impose their east european culture on us at will.

But all this intimidation only applies to the ordinary folk and not the big businesses that commit the most anti-environmental crimes with little fear of retribution thanks to influencial friendships and very handy appointments to boardrooms.

In the region of 80 percent of waste in Britain is produced by the manufacturing industry and commercial businesses yet most of that goes to landfill.

Of the remaining 20 percent, many councils are now close to achieving 50 percent recycling rates which means that 90 percent is still being dumped or burned.

Leicestershire is one of the best domestic waste recycling authorities at over 49 percent but they now want to build an incinerator to dispose of the rest.

This doesn't make economic sense and goes against everything we are told is good for the environment and to prevent climate change.

NW Leicestershire local authority made over £700,000 in the last year from selling its recyclable waste and that is only 10 percent of what could be achieved in theory.

Incinerators need a constant feed of mixed waste to burn properly which would mean a lot of recyclable material being burned just to keep the fire going.

The fumes emitted contain a highly dangerous coctail of toxins detrimental to health, especially to the more vulnerable to members of society like unborn babies and people suffering lung disorders.

The minute particles fall to earth usually with 2-3 miles of the plant and can leach into water courses and food chains through grazing animals and crops.

The amount of Carbon Dioxide produced exceeds that of a Coal Fired Power Station and the energy recovered for re-use is largely useless as it can't be stored and is low level and year round when it isn't always required.

£2 billion of Government funding is being made available to councils to pay for many of these incinerators, when at the same time, they have cut funds for promoting recycling by a third.

Others are being paid for by Private Finance Intitiatives (PFIs) which guarantee big business large returns on investment for periods of up to 39 years. These schemes have been used to build hospitals and schools and are shown to cost many times their real value, taking money from the public services to pay company directors and their friendly boardroom chums.

There are no good reasons for an incinerator and plenty of bad ones.

Indonesia, a poor and overcrowded country has banned them, others are considering it but as usual this country is waiting to see how many people die first and then spend years denying the link.

Another success for the BNP councillors

After a recent plan by the council to divert a footpath that has been in existence for as long as anyone can remember, local resident Mrs Wilton contacted her BNP councillor for help.

Without delay a petition was organised and over a hundred local signatures collected, for what was seen as a right of way that they had walked since childhood being diverted for the sake of a golf course that has only been there a few years.

Soon a public meeting as called with council officers and BNP councillor Ian Meller who represented the residents, resulting in a satisfactory conclusion.

As usual the local Tory councillor tried to get involved out of self interest and make a mountain out of a molehill but instead looked like a 'Johnny come lately'.

The council has now decided not to divert the footpath which is excellent news and proves again that the BNP puts locals first.

Promise and Reality

It is just over 12 months since the formidable, blue-rinsed Tory ladies and their elegantly dressed, moisturised, smugly grinning, smooth male counterparts made their 4-yearly appearances, canvassing and leafletting for their positions on local Borough councils.

They grandly assured all those prepared to listen that they, and they alone, held the key to all local problems and promised that they would work harder than anyone else, listen more, and give you value for money councillors.

Their glossy, professionally PR designed leaflets oozed unctuous, election-winning promises as they fought snout and trotter for a place at the trough.

Twelve months later the reality starts to emerge, typically expressed in the councils' returns of attendances and expense claims.

A prime example can be seen in the Hinckley & Bosworth area, where Jon Cort attended only 4 out of his 28 scheduled meetings (14.29%), claiming £2949.30 in the process. The cost to local taxpayers was £737 for every meeting he attended. Not quite the value for money that they promised.

When approached by the local media he was unavailable for comment; however, perhaps the most enlightened (and damning) comment came from Cllr. Adrian Smith (Lib Dem) with 56% attendance who said "Those figures are a little bit misleading -unfortunately, when you run you don't realize how many meetings there are." He pathetically concludes: "Hopefully, it should get better".

So there we have it: they don't even know what being a councillor involves, apart from claiming expenses.

The impact these wastes of space have on improving local services is negligible - we need to campaign for their resignations

We also need to run a national campaign to find Britain's worst councillor. Can anyone beat 14.29% and £737 per meeting at district level? Let's name them and shame them.

Ellistown and Battleflat by-election

After three weeks of lies and insults posted by the revolting Lib Dems aided and abetted by a servile Tory, Wayne McDermott came first in the Parish By-election.

It was a very close contest between Wayne, Emily and Kathy with Wayne winning by only ten votes and Emily scraping home by just one vote in second.

Kathy took the defeat with great dignity and didn't even ask for a recount despite her obvious disappointment at losing by one vote but I'm sure she'll be back next time for another crack.

Shame about the Lib dems though, getting thoroughly trounced again after such a sickening display of dirty tricks.

One can only wonder at the intelligence of their campaign manager in thinking they could even get a respectable score in an area that woke up to the reality of Britain today some time ago.

The message was sent out loud and clear to the left wing filth peddlars, go back to your own patch and keep away, we'll be taking your area next.

Congratulations Emily and Wayne and hard luck Kathy. Oh and Lib Dems, learn how to lose with grace because you're going to experience a lot more yet.

Ashby Campaign Looks Promising

Is Tory Town fertile ground for the BNP?

As reported on here a few weeks ago we decided to branch out to Ashby after an influx of enquires from there. Having now fully delivered the first print run of Ashby Patriot we have decided to print another few thousand after the great response and high return rate we have experienced. The number of enquiries from the area is far better than anything we have received from Ibstock, Hugglescote or Whitwick which leaves us asking COULD WE WIN IN ASHBY?

Of course that is something we will only find out in the future but so far this looks like yet another area of great promise for the British National Party in NW Leicestershire and another area with so many people keen for a real positive change in local politics.

One of our leaflet teams this week had a chap shouting from his upstairs window “ We don’t want any Conservative leaflet in this house we all Vote BNP” which when the chap was informed we were the BNP brought a smile to everyone’s face.

Just like in areas around Coalville when in the past it has been one party politics with Labour calling all the shots until we turned up, Ashby has had the same from the blue half but we may well now become a serious contender in Ashby and improve politics for the better there as well.

Coalville, The New Paris?

Tory proposals suggest they want to turn Coalville into a 'cafe society' with 24 hour bistro culture.

In a report which has the hallmarks of a certain portfolio holder's fantasy when questioned about the effects of bringing in more supermarkets, the leader of the council states that his vision is one of a pavement cafe culture with retaurants and bistros opening 24 hours a day in the newly regenerated town centre.

Tourism is the buzz word being used to portray future life in this former industrial area.
This isn't something new and innovative as they would have us believe, but an EU directive which will turn Britain and England in particular into an impoverished land.

Not having the brains nor the will to challenge the master plan, our fine puppets in local government try to convince us that they are imaginative and forward thinking.

They conveniently forgot to mention that they wish to replace the Hermitage Leisure Centre with a new one in the town centre as part of their Civic Hub?

They also promise to build thousands of new homes even though there are between six and fourteen hundred empty properties in the district and hundreds more available to let already.

The introduction of Parking Permits for eleven streets around the town will create more anger and frustration to residents who suffer problems only caused by the introduction of parking charges in the first place.

Finally there is The Incinerator.

Where will it go and why won't they tell us?

If it is to go in Ellistown as predicted by myself and many locals, there will be outrage, especially after the UK Coal fiasco.

If it isn't going in Ellistown then surely a denial would be welcome and harmless which suggests that it is going to Ellistown and the secrecy is required to do the deal on the land and agree the contracts.

Very dodgy again.
